Oral health can deteriorate slowly. Many years can go by before the patient notices the poor appearance of their teeth and their bite beginning to collapse. Bite collapse means the bite has shortened due to the teeth wearing down with age and tooth loss.
When the bite collapses, the face can collapse. That's because the teeth play a major factor in facial appearance. They actually support the face length, lips and cheeks. Because of that, when the bite wears down and teeth are lost, the entire face shortens. In fact, as we get older the shorter and rounder our faces become.

Bite Reconstruction

The goal of bite reconstruction is to treat how the teeth fit together—the bite. It usually involves restoring for each tooth, the:
